Here we will discuss people that we think we have identified in the unknown photo album.If anyone finds a photo that is incorrectly identified, please let us know, we welcome any correction or further information.
Cynthia Louise Ross Wells
Cynthia Louise Ross was born May 24, 1842. The first photo in this series we have dated at 1883 and it is a known photo of Cynthia and family, she should be about 40 years old (This assumption is based on the child on Cynthia’s lap as being Polly, if the child is not a girl, this photo is a couple years earlier). The rest of the photos, we will attempt to date with what information we have.
#2 Photo: we do not have many clues for the date of this photo but we can see that she is a bit older in this photo than the first one so we will say that this photo was taken in 1890, Cynthia would have been about 48 yrs. old.
#3 Photo: we estimate this was taken about 1895 when Cynthia was about 53 yrs. old.
#4 Photo: Cynthia is holding a baby and we think this is her granddaughter Mayme, who was born in 1906 so this is what we will date this photo as 1906 and Cynthia would be about 64 years old.
#5 Photo: Cynthia is with a girl who looks about 10 years old and we think this is Mayme as well, so we will date this photo at 1916 Cynthia would be about 74 years old.
#6 Photo: has a teenaged girl in it who is about 15 years old who we think is Mayme so we will date this photo 1920 Cynthia is 78.
